Born from real classrooms, real challenges.
Hilly Arch was born from real classrooms and real challenges. As teachers supporting adult learners — many of them refugees and newcomers — we saw how complex digital tools could become barriers instead of bridges. Managing files, emailing materials, and trying to keep in touch across different platforms made learning harder than it should be.
We wanted to change that. So we built a platform that puts people first — a space where teachers and students can share learning materials, communicate safely, and focus on progress, not platforms. From the very beginning, our goal was clear: to make technology feel simple, supportive, and accessible to everyone, regardless of technical skill.
When a Nottingham‑based charity, Belong, piloted Hilly Arch for their ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes, the impact was immediate. Teachers saved time, students learned more confidently, and the organisation finally had a professional, privacy‑respecting tool that truly fit their needs.
